A body language expert has weighed in on Olivia Attwood and Pete Wicks‘ public kiss, saying there is no doubt that their smooch was more than just a friendly peck. Following weeks of speculation over their relationship status, newly-single Olivia, 34, was photographed planting a kiss on TOWIE star Pete, 37, in a dimly-lit bar on Friday night in London.
Love Island star Olivia only announced she had split with her footballer husband of four years Bradley Dack a few weeks ago, citing a “breach of trust” as the final straw in their marriage. But it appears she has moved on with Pete, after they were sighted sharing a kiss in Soho’s Flute Bar.

Body language expert Inbaal Honigman has scrutinised the kiss, believing the pair are in the early stages of a relationship. Speaking on behalf of CasinoHawks, she said: “The way that the two gaze at each other, fully face-to-face with direct eye contact, is more typical of the early stages of a relationship.
“They approach each other openly, courageously, with nothing to hide. This symmetrical, perfect face-to-face pose shows that they’re keen to get to know each other better, with no defences or interruptions. They mirror one another perfectly, wearing the same expression, which indicates that the feeling is mutual. The eye contact is curious, each of them is checking whether the other is also interested.”

Inbaal believes that the symmetry of their kiss and eye contact means “they’re equally into one another,” adding: “There’s not one of them who’s more keen than the other, they are equal.
“The kiss is more of a peck, there’s no indication of passion or sexual tension at this stage. It may have caught both of them by surprise. They weren’t planning on sharing that public kiss and it’s not a cry for attention, rather a sweet moment when they both realised they are drawn to one another.”
She added that the pair may well claim they just shared a “friendly kiss”, which is believable in “some friendship circles – but one “important detail” cements the kiss as romantic over friendly. Inbaal explains: “The fact that both of them close their eyes, is the crucial difference between a matey lipper and a romantic one.
“In sensually close encounters, the closed eyes serve as a reduction of outside stimulation. When blocking out the sights of anything else, the couple focuses more on their connection, the sensual feelings, and the millions of sensitive nerve endings in their lips, enhancing the experience.
“A closed-eye kiss is a romantic kiss. Something is definitely starting there.”
Up until Pete and Olivia’s kiss, the pair had denied claims that they were anything more than good friends, but a source claimed their friendship had evolved into an “unexpected romance”. They told The Sun: “They have been spending a lot of time together and an unexpected romance has blossomed from friendship.”
Meanwhile, claims have emerged that Bradley was “livid” about the pictures of Pete and his ex-wife, Olivia. As he left Ebbsfleet International railway station, he was spotted without his wedding ring. A source told The Sun: “Bradley is livid, he’s not surprised at all but is completely embarrassed and upset.” They added: “He can’t believe Olivia has moved on so publicly, and they’ve not even signed the divorce papers. Bradley was hopeful for a reunion with Olivia.”
