LaGuardia Crash, Pilot And Co-Pilot Died, Flight Attendant ‘Miraculously’ Survives, ‘Her Seat Was..’

A deadly collision between an Air Canada jet and a fire truck at LaGuardia Airport in New York City on March 22, 2026, claimed the lives of both pilots, while injuring more than 30 people. The investigation has been ongoing while the injured passengers were sent to the hospital.

If the reports are to be believed, the crash took place when the Jazz aviation flight, which operated on behalf of Air Canada, was landing on runway four and hit an aircraft rescue and firefighting vehicle, which was responding to a separate incident. The Air Canada Express Flight 8646 was coming from Montreal and hit the truck on the runway. Several glimpses and audio clips have surfaced on social media. While the pilot and the co-pilot passed away, it was a flight attendant who was miraculously saved after being ejected. In a recent interview, her daughter divulged details about how her mom was saved and how she is now. 

A flight attendant was miraculously saved in the shocking LaGuardia crash

In an interview with Quebec’s TVA News, the flight attendant, Solange Tremblay’s daughter, Sarah Lépine, shared that her mom has multiple bone fractures and is currently hospitalised, and she will have to undergo surgery. Solange suffered a broken foot after being ejected at a speed of more than 320 feet, and as per her daughter, she was strapped behind her seat behind the pilots during the time of the crash. To Sarah, it’s a complete miracle as her mom’s seat was ejected more than 100 meters from the plane. She said that it could be worse, but a guardian angel was looking all over her, thereby saving her. Sloange’s daughter could be quoted as saying:

“It’s a complete miracle. At the moment of impact, her seat was ejected more than 100 meters from the plane. They found her and she was still strapped into her seat. She had a guardian angel watching over her. It could have been much worse.”

It was earlier revealed that the crash, which took place on runway 4 of LaGuardia airport in New York City, claimed the lives of the pilot, co-pilot, and the flight attendant, who was at the jump seat near the plane, could have been saved. As per an NBC reporter, the flight attendant was found in the jump seat outside the plane. Reportedly, there were 41 people, and 32 of them were injured, while the passengers in the firetruck were reportedly safe and stable.

An audio from the deadliest collision surfaces

Several videos and audio from the collision set surfaced on social media, wherein it could be heard that an air traffic controller initially gave the firetruck permission to cross runway 4 to reach the United plane, and it was at the same moment that another air controller started shouting, ‘Stop, stop, stop, stop. Truck 1, stop, stop, stop.’

Team BollywoodShaadis cannot confirm the authenticity of such an audio clip, and it still remains unclear whether and how the truck responded. The CRJ-900 plane was carrying 72 passengers, and it was reported that the pilot and co-pilot were badly injured, while a sergeant and an officer reportedly suffered broken limbs but are now in a stable condition. When the collision took place, it had a speed of about 24 miles per hour, 39 kmph, and further investigation has been ongoing.
