With Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge continuing its impressive run at the box office, conversations have already shifted towards what’s next for the action-packed franchise. Social media is currently flooded with speculation about a third instalment, especially after a viral, unverified screenshot claimed to reveal the release date of the next film. Reacting to the growing buzz, casting director Mukesh Chhabra has now addressed the rumours.

The sequel to the 2025 hit Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar, released in theatres on March 19. Shortly after, a clip, allegedly showing the end-credit slate of Dhurandhar Part 3: The Mayhem began circulating online, even hinting at a June release. Although the clip was later confirmed to be FAKE, it sparked widespread excitement, with many fans assuming it was an official announcement.
Speaking to Zoom, Mukesh dismissed the rumours and clarified the situation. He said, “Aisa kuch nahi hone wala. Bahut sare rumours hai (Nothing like that is going to happen. There are a lot of rumours).” He further added that if there is ever any update worth addressing, he would share it himself on social media platform X.

In a separate chat with Mid-day, Mukesh also spoke about his experience working with Ranveer Singh and Sara Arjun in Dhurandhar 2. Praising Ranveer, he said, “He is a great actor. He is a very hardworking actor. I remember some of his initial tests were done by me. I met him many times during Lootera, then I did 83. It must be 15 to 16 years ago. I still have some old pictures. He was always a great actor. He just needed an opportunity to show everyone what he could do.” The film, set against the backdrop of Karachi’s underworld and major geopolitical events, has received a strong response and has already crossed Rs 500 crore net in India and Rs 850 crore worldwide.
