Emily Atack’s makeup artist just revealed which two eyeliners she uses to get Emily’s signature smoky eye – and the ‘life changing’ combo hails from Victoria Beckham’s beauty line

If there’s one celeb who’s mastered the art of the smoky eye better than anyone, it’s Emily Atack. The actress is known for her signature sultry eye makeup that makes her blue eyes pop, and if you’ve ever wanted to copy her look, then you’re in luck.

Emily’s makeup artist Lydia Barnes recently shared a breakdown of how she creates Emily’s go-to smudgy eyeliner, and it’s thanks to two different shades of Victoria Beckham’s cult-favourite Satin Kajal Liner. To replicate the look exactly, you’ll need to pick up the liner in shades cocoa and cinnamon which are both warm, rich-looking brown tones, and are priced at £33 each.

Brown liner is a great alternative to black if you’re looking for something softer and slightly warmer. Brown will suit all eye colours, but it especially makes blue and green eyes pop, making it perfect for Emily’s colouring.

Lydia said the Satin Kajal Liners are her “absolute favourites” to use, and added that the combination of the two shades together were “life changing”. She also shared exactly how she creates Emily’s smoky eye, and you can copy the result at home in no time.

First she uses the shade cinnamon, which is a beautiful bronze shade, to create a base around Emily’s eyes. Next, she takes the shade cocoa – a matte brown – and uses it to add definition and depth, before blending them both with a small fluffy brush to create that soft, diffused look.

The Satin Kajal Liners are known for their soft, creamy formula which makes them easy to blend. However, once they’re in place they’re waterproof and smudge-proof so you can wear them all day (and night), and you can use them to create both crisp, sharp lines or a softer, more lived-in look like Emily’s.

If the £33 price tag means it’s a little out of your price range, we’ve found a couple of other options that have a similar creamy formula so you can create the smudgy look on a budget. The MAC Colour Excess Gel Pencil Eyeliner is £22, and comes in a range of shades including two different brown colours which you could use to copy the two-tone look.

For an even more affordable pick, the KIKO Milano Intense Colour Long Lasting Eyeliner is just £7.99 and is double-ended with a smudging sponge on the end. There are also three different brown hues to pick from, so you can pick the ones that suit your skin tone best.

However plenty of beauty fans think Victoria Beckham Beauty’s Satin Kajal Liners are more than worth the slightly higher price tag. One said: “Easy to apply, great colours, last for ages my favourite and only eyeliner that I use. Would highly recommend.”

Another agreed: “The best eye liner I have bought. Smooth to apply and looks amazing.”

However someone else was less impressed, saying: “I like the liner. It goes on nice and smoothly. However It’s a little darker and less shimmery than expected, and not as long lasting as touted. Not worth the extra price.”

Another agreed: “Quite nice, goes on smoothly but staying power is not great. Like the bit of sparkle.”

But others can’t get enough, with one saying: “I really love my 3 new liners! So beautiful and easy to blend.”
