NHL reporter, Jessi Pierce, who used to cover the Minnesota Wild, died along with her three children, Hudson, aged 8, Cayden, aged 6, and Avery, aged 4, at night in a tragic house fire. The incident occurred on March 21, 2026, when Mike was away on a work trip. Now, days after the tragedy, her husband, Mike Hinrichs, shared an emotional tribute remembering his wife and children. According to reports, he described his wife, Jessi, as “beautiful, vibrant, and full of life.” Additionally, he highlighted how she was a devoted wife and mother to their three kids. His statement read:

“She lit up every room she walked into and made everyone feel welcome. She left a lasting mark on everyone lucky enough to know her. Above all, she was a devoted and loving mother to her three amazing children: Hudson, Cayden, and Avery.”

Moreover, Mike also mentioned the details about his children and highlighted their unique personalities. He explained that their daughter, Avery, loved fashion and dance, while Cayden was described as a “comedian-in-training” who enjoyed wrestling. On the other hand, their eldest, Hudson, was curious and enjoyed sports, especially basketball. At the same time, another statement shared by the White Bear Lake Fire Department revealed that Mike had requested Minnesota as he and his extended family processed the major loss in his life. Recalling his kids, his family statement stated:

“Avery loved fashion and dance. Cayden, a comedian-in-training, loved wrestling for sport and for play. Hudson was full of curiosity and loved basketball and sports. Our hearts are heavy as we grieve this unimaginable tragedy. We hold onto the memories, the laughter, and the love they gave so freely.”

The tragic fire at Jessi Pierce’s Lake house broke out in the early hours of March 21, 2026. They used to live on the 2100 block of Richard Avenue in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. According to Fire Chief Greg Peterson, emergency crews were immediately dispatched after 911 calls from neighbors who reported seeing flames coming through their roof. 

Later, authorities confirmed that they found the remains of four victims, Jessi and her three children, dead inside the home. Although the exact cause of the fire has not yet been officially determined, officials have found no evidence of foul play. In his words:

“The official cause and further information will be released once the investigation is complete.”
