His older daughter, Ava, who is 12 years old, reacted to her father’s exit, saying that she would totally take a job in New York even if she had to stay away from her family on Friday nights. This was surely a humorous reaction, while Peter’s younger one, Emma, who is 10 years old, said that she was not able to wait any longer since she would get 48 extra hours of her dad being at home. Sharing that the balance is needed and that he would do something new, Peter Alexander said:

“I’ve been away from home more than 80 nights in the last seven months, more than 220 Friday nights, 220 Fridays nights away from my family in the last seven years. So it’s a limited window before my daughters lose interest in hanging out with me. It’s happened quick. I’m eager to carve out a better balance between my personal and professional lives and to challenge myself with something new.”

As per CNN and The Los Angeles Times, Peter Alexander may join MS Now as an anchor and chief national reporter.
