Recently, Jennifer Aniston had a conversation with People Magazine, during which she shared an interesting update about the much-loved show, The Morning Show. When she was asked about her professional life and what is keeping her busy nowadays, the Friends fame revealed that is currently preparing for her role in The Morning Show Season 5. She was quoted as saying:

“Right now, it’s all The Morning Show season 5. I’ve been in prep for the last few months, and especially the last few weeks, we have been in major script mode. This will probably take me through the end of summer.”

When will The Morning Show Season 5 release?

Even though there is no confirmation about the release date of The Morning Show, a few reports suggest that the much-awaited and anticipated season will premiere in 2027. It is worth mentioning that since Jennifer confirmed that they are still in ‘script mode’, it can be said that the makers might take nearly a year for filming and post-production. For the unversed, Season 5 was announced in 2025 before the premiere of Season 4. Apple TV’s head of programming had shared:

“The Morning Show has been a standout from the very start. We’re excited for viewers to experience the next chapter of this Emmy Award-winning drama.”

The upcoming season is expected to raise the drama inside the newsroom. Further, the makers can explore Jennifer and Reese’s struggles in both personal and professional life. Considering the history of the show, it is expected to explore real-life issues in a fictional newsroom. The Morning Show is created by Jay Carson and Kelly Ehrin, according to a report by IMDb.

However, Greta Lee, who joined the series in Season 2, announced her exit after Season 4. She had shared:

“These people are like family. We’ve been through so much. We got together through COVID. We were navigating brand new frontiers again and again-the writers’ strike, the (Los Angeles) fires. I mean, so much has changed.”
