Race 1

4. Sarapo is an improving three-year-old in the leading stable well-placed to finally break through fourth-up, with blinkers going on. Was rock solid in the market doing his best work late into a place last start at Hawkesbury, and again drawn to get cover back off the speed. 5. Scoop The Pool produced a similar closing effort second-up here, and gets a little weight relief 19 days between runs. 1. Cavalry is lightly raced, and a big market watch switching from Victoria where he was a bit stiff closing off late first-up at Pakenham as a hot favourite.

9. Love You Anyway is a fit and consistent mare trained on the course, reloading off a 31-day freshen-up and trial win. Gets in light after the jockey’s claim and is drawn to get to the outside late. 8. Lady Catalina is a well touted two-year-old filly by Written Tycoon on debut for the Ciaron Maher stable. Wraps are good, and she has trialled well at the provincials. Drawn wider, so watch the betting closely. 4. Princess Dane is a mare by Star Witness on debut for the Richard Litt stable at Warwick Farm.

Race 3

3. Confidentiality is an emerging metropolitan-based filly primed to return with a bang at only her third start in what is an open dash with many chances. Stuck on strong to lead all the way at Wyong last spring before spelling, and behind two forward trials, has the tactical speed to take advantage of the short course. 2. Charlina has been in and around the money all prep, either side of a maiden win at Kembla. Beaten only a half-length in a Midway BM 64 last starts reads well for this, jumping from the inside gate. 4. Charka is a threat coming back a shade in distance six weeks between runs.

Race 4

3. Erin Jo is a talented filly in the local Kris Lees stable resuming for a second prep off two improving trials. Broke through at her third start in a handy metro Super Maiden last spring after being backed from $4.00 into $3.20. She can react big time here from a soft trailing draw, and then be set for bigger targets. 1. Lightning Glory is a lightly raced four-year-old also trained here, and resumes behind two progressive trials, bolting in the latest by nearly four lengths.

Race 5

12. Mayleigh is an improving filly in the John Sargent stable at Randwick who worked home late into a place at Gosford second-up, and the winner then beat a smart one in a CL1 at Wyong on Saturday. Has a little fitness edge too in what is a tough and wide Race. 14. Let’s Be Honest returns for a second prep in blinkers. Given two quiet trials, and drawn to get a soft run back off the speed. 8. Autumn Sky is a filly on debut for the Litt stable from a wide barrier, and another one by hot sire The Autumn Sun.

Race 6

2. Cosmic Lad is a tough five-year-old who hit the line late against similar opposition at Kembla when coming off a five-week freshen. Winkers replace blinkers here, and he’s drawn to get plenty of cover off speed. 3. Commanding Artist is a hard fit and progressive four-year-old banging on the door for a third career win stepping up in trip. Went under narrowly in a deeper provincial race before being given a month-long freshen, then was narrowly beaten at Hawkesbury after being backed from $3.70 into $2.80.

Can’t go past ultra smart metro-based four-year-old 3. Banjora who can bounce back hard fourth-up in his first full prep, nail down a place in the Midway-Provincial Final at Randwick, and make it four wins from five overall. Powered home for consecutive wins up to metro BM 72 level before should have won the qualifier at Gosford when badly held up in traffic before smashing the line late. In form city jockey is back on, much better suited on the bigger and more spacious track, and rates on top. 1. Lord Of Biscay is a tough local who has bypassed the last couple of qualifiers because of wet tracks, and finally gets back on firmer ground. Drawn wide but will be running home. 5. Clancy has produced three mixed runs since a smart BM 72 win on the Kensington course.

Race 8

3. Mister Martini is on the rise, and will be hard to hold out again after sweeping home to win his maiden here second-up. Drawn to get a soft run behind the speed, and strong pointer bypassing a deeper Race earlier on the card to run here. 1. Dusty Bay is over the odds fourth-up from a better draw. 10. Miles Of Glory has run home OK in two efforts back from a spell, and desperate for the extra furlong here. 11. Peccavi is an emerging and well-bred filly who returned off a 20-week break to claim her maiden at Hawkesbury in her first outing in NSW.
