Katie Price has been slammed as ‘cruel’ and ‘heartless’ by fans after she said she needed to ‘sort out’ her 17 pets amid trips to Dubai to visit her husband
Katie Price has been branded “cruel” and “heartless” by fans after she appeared to suggest she might ditch her 17 pets. The star has been travelling back and forth between England and Dubai since marrying Lee Andrews in January, and opened up about how the travel was affecting her animals.
In a YouTube vlog, Katie said she needed to “sort out” her pets: “I’ve got to sort out what I’m going to do with the animals because obviously Lee’s in Dubai and I’m going to keep going to Dubai and back.
“I’ve got 12 animals in the house. I know I like things excessive like big cars, big boobs, big bum, lots of animals, horses, this, that. I think I need to re-evaluate my life a little bit and just have a little think about everything.”

She then seemed to wonder if she should get rid of some of her pets, saying: “Because, yeah do I need so many animals? You know you gotta be there, all the time for them. Do I need….anyway everything I do is excessive, we all know that. You know that, I know that. So, I am gonna have to re-evaluate things in my life.”
Katie started to talk about how she lives in England while her husband lives in Dubai before suddenly remembering that as well as 12 animals, she has another five on top of that. “I’ve got 17 animals, oh my God,” she said.
Fans expressed their concern and disapproval in the comments of the video. One wrote: “Please help her animals.” Meanwhile others accused her of being neglectful or a “disgrace”.
“You shouldn’t be allowed to have pets you have a record of neglect and cruelty,” a fan said. Another added: “The way you casually say you don’t need so many animals .. you’re a disgrace who just thinks about yourself.”
One fan said they were disgusted by her words: “How can you even think of getting rid of your animals. That’s disgusting! They’re not disposable.” Another added: “Totally heartless and cruel.”
Katie has had a troubled history with her pets, as over the years, there have been a series of tragic incidents. In 2017, one of her horses was killed on the A24 after it broke free from its field. A few months later, her dog Queenie was hit by a car near her home after the gate was left open, which Katie said was the fault of a delivery driver.
Another dog died in 2020 after being hit by a car. After she posted the news, her fans urged her to be more careful with her pets. The star came under fire again in 2022 when a third dos was hit by a car and she was slammed by PETA in 2023 when it happened again.
PETA said she had “blood on her hands” following the deaths of multiple pets. Fans have previously put together a petition to prevent Katie from owning pets, which reached 37,000 signatures.
