‘Good home ground’: McRae relishing Gabba test
The Gabbatoir holds no fears for Craig McRae, who is relishing the “massive test” that faces Collingwood on Thursday night against Brisbane.
The Magpies coach is backing their team defence to cope with the loss of captain Darcy Moore. He returned in last week’s win over GWS, only to be sidelined for a month with a fresh hamstring injury.
The Magpies have won their last two games at the Gabba against the two-time time defending premiers.
McRae cheekily referred to the venue as “a good home ground’.

Good evening
G’day everyone. It’s Roy Ward here and I’ll be leading the line for our AFL Thursday live blog this evening as Brisbane and Collingwood battle at the Gabba.
I had the pleasure of watching the Lions last weekend and they look to be finding their feet after a slow start to 2026 while some big questions remain about this Collingwood side, especially with a few big names out of the side.
First bounce is set for 7.30pm, enjoy the evening to come.
