Coleen Rooney is set to celebrate her 40th birthday tonight with a special event organised by husband Wayne Rooney. She will mark the milestone birthday surrounded by friends and family at their Cheshire mansion.
“It’s going to be a huge birthday bash over the Easter weekend. They were originally going to go to Barbados themselves but Coleen decided they’d do a big 40th for everyone at home,” a source told us.
“The guest list is obviously going to be A list and very football related. There’s going to be all of Wayne’s old teammates, the ex-Manchester United squad and everyone that’s played with Wayne, including David Beckham.”
Wayne has taken charge of planning the event, with the footballer hoping he can repay Coleen for her unwavering support and has even booked a big pop star, with “no expense spared”.

Lily Allen
Coleen is a fan of Lily, having gone to seen her in March. She was in attendance at Lily’s recent tour, enjoying the night out with friends at the Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool.
Sources had even claimed Lily used Coleen’s famous ‘Wagatha Christie’ method to uncover her husband’s cheating. A source claims that Lily looked for women on the dating app and later cross-referenced them with the women that David follows on his public Instagram account.
“Lily was looking for women that were on Raya and cross-referencing them with women David follows on Instagram to try to figure out who he was seeing. She was doing her Wagatha thing,” they said.
Westlife
Coleen and Wayne are also huge fans of Westlife, with the band performing at their wedding in 2008. A source close to the band exclusively told The Mirror how Westlife had invited Coleen and Wayne to their Wembley gigs.
“Coleen and Wayne are huge fans of Westlife. In fact, Wayne is a bigger fan than Coleen! The lads played at their wedding,” a source said, “They’ve been invited to Wembley as VIP guests and will relive the magic of their wedding night when they hear the band belting out all of their favourite Westlife hits. A lot is going into making Wembley and the 2020 summer tour Westlife’s best ever.”
Kian Egan looked back on the special wedding gig, where he said it was the biggest private gig they’d ever done.
“Wayne Rooney’s wedding was probably the biggest private gig we’ve ever done. The funniest thing about that was we all thought we were being hired by Wayne for Coleen and when we got to the wedding she came in and said hello to us and was like, ‘Wayne doesn’t know you’re here, so he’s going to lose his life when you walk out,'” he said.
“We said, ‘We thought we were here for you’ and she was like, ‘No he’s the Westlife fan’. That was hilarious and when we came out he lost his life and we pulled him up on stage and did a song with him.”
Lewis Capaldi
Coleen previously was joined by Wayne as they attended Lewis Capaldi’s gig. In a snap from the event, Lewis was seen with his arms draped over the pair as they posed for the picture.
“Mr Capaldi you were unbelievable,” she wrote alongside the snap, taken in 2020. In 2023, she also marked her birthday with a performance from Lewis, so could that happen again?
At the time, she wrote: “Amazing birthday, thanks for a great night @lewiscapaldi. Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone.”
