Dipika Kakar Gets Emotional As She Recalls Her Cyst Removal Surgery, Says, ‘Main Thodi Hil Gayi Hu’

Television actress, Dipika Kakar, who is best-known for her powerful performance in Sasural Simar Ka, recently opened up about her health. For the unversed, since a long time, the actress has been battling serious health issues, first stage 2 liver tumour and now a cyst removal surgery. In her latest YouTube vlog, the actress got emotional while sharing her experience. It is worth mentioning that Dipika has constantly been updating her fans about her health.

In the latest YouTube vlog, much celebrated TV actress, Dipika Kakar opened up about her health and the recent cyst removal surgery. Recalling the entire experience, the actress got a little emotional and called it ‘overwhelming’. Further, she also stated that she is shaken after the surgery. She was quoted as saying:

“As such koi reason nahi he, matlab main agar honestly aapko bolu toh mere jo ye reoccurence hua hain… woh chota cyst jo 1.3 cm ka aya hain, uske baad main thodi hil gayi hoon. It has shaken me, main thoda sa ghabra gayi hoon ki aisa kyu hua.”

Further in the YouTube vlog, Dipika Kakar continued to appreciate all the women, who live their lives with ease despite multiple hormonal changes, menstrual cycles and more. Dipika also shared that her health has affected her life in several aspects. In her words:

“We have to be strong and positive. Woh rakhna aur uski saath apni daily life mein jeena, ye saari discussions about aagey ki line ki treatment kya hogi… toh it is just too overwhelming at times. I don’t know if I am making any sense but I wanted to share that.”

Dipika Kakar’s husband, Shoaib Ibrahim has been her biggest support system in this tough time

Over the past few months, Dipika Kakar has been dealing with the most difficult phase of her life. Amid that, it is her husband, Shoaib Ibrahim, who has stood beside her as her biggest support system. Shoaib has constantly shared updates about Dipika’s health on social media and made sure that the actress was feeling good despite the seriousness of her health. A few weeks ago, Shoaib spoke about Dipika’s line of treatment and shared:

“So now, we just have to go back to the doctor and see what the next step in treatment will be. Because this is a long battle, even if the reports have come back normal, the focus now is on maintaining this condition. The ongoing treatment will continue, and this is a very encouraging sign that one step is done.”

For those who do not know, Dipika Kakar is one of the most-loved TV actresses, who is known for her charming screen presence. After rising to fame with Sasural Simar Ka, the actress went on to be a part of the serial, Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum. Apart from this, she also participated and won Bigg Boss 12 and won. 

Since 2025, she has been facing multiple health issues. Last year, she was diagnosed with liver tumour and underwent a surgery for it. Later, in early 2026, she shared that her doctors found another cyst near her liver. And for the removal, she had to undergo another surgery. Her husband, Shoaib constantly shared updates with their fans.

Talking about Dipika Kakar’s personal life, she is currently happily married to Sasural Simar Ka co-star, Shoaib Ibrahim. It is worth mentioning that the actress was previously married to Raunak Samson. Reportedly, the two tied the knot in 2011 and by 2015, they were divorced. In 2018, Dipika got married to Shoaib. In 2023, the couple welcomed their first child- a son, Ruhaan. It is worth mentioning that amid the health issues, Dipika has taken a break from acting; however, fans are waiting for her powerful comeback.
