Kasey Grelle died in an accident that took place on March 23, 2026, at Rancho Santana resort in Tola, Nicaragua. She was enjoying some time off from work with her family on a vacation that turned deadly for her. Local news reports said she was among the approximately 28 passengers on an open-air tourist truck. However, the vehicle lost control and descended a hill. It rolled backwards before overturning. Subsequently, there was chaos and more than 20 people injured including some loss of lives.
Kasey suffered a major head trauma and skull fracture, causing her death on the way to a hospital. Despite receiving immediate medical assistance at the accident spot, she could not survive. On the other hand, her 11-year-old son, Julian, has sustained severe injuries to his skull and spine along with a collapsed lung.
