Filmmaker Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar is enjoying a dream run at the box office, breaking records and drawing massive crowds. Amid all the buzz, veteran actor Paresh Rawal shared that he couldn’t help but wish he had been part of the franchise. Speaking to PTI, he praised the film’s scale and impact, calling it much more than just a movie.

Talking about both installments, Paresh said, “Dekhi, Dhurandhar 1 and 2 dekhi, part 1 do baar dekhi, dusri ek baar dekhi, vapas dekhne jaana hai. Mujhe hona chahiye tha ismein (I have watched both parts, watched part 1 twice and part 2 once, and I want to watch it again. I should have been a part of the film).” He went on to add, “I liked Dhurandhar a lot; it’s not just a film but a saga. For the first time, I felt I should have been part of it. Zindagi main pehli baar mujhe laga main hota ismein toh maza aata (For the first time in my life, I felt that it would have been fun if I had been in it).”

Paresh, who previously played NSA Govind Bhardwaj in Uri: The Surgical Strike, a role inspired by Ajit Doval, also spoke about the comparisons with R. Madhavan’s character in Dhurandhar. He said it was fascinating to see two different takes on a similar personality. Earlier, reacting to a social media post comparing the roles, he joked, “Yes didn’t smoke but only broke the phones (laughter emoji).
