One former Love Island winner has admitted things could not be “any worse” years after being on the ITV dating show as he deals with homelessness following a stint in rehab
One former Love Islander has said he is homeless and that things “can’t get worse”, despite winning the show. Over the weekend, season four winner Jack Fincham opened up about his life after leaving rehab.
Jack won the hit ITV dating show alongside Dani Dyer in 2018, but the two split just six months later. Years later, the star battled addictions to drugs and alcohol and entered rehab for the second time after relapsing at Christmas. His first stint was in 2021, but after relapsing at the end of 2025, he received care from Rainford Hall in Merseyside.
The second rehab treatment was funded by care provider Steps Together. who saw an interview Jack did and offered to help. The former Islander had previously admitted that he had blown his TV money on his addictions and had just £20 to his name.

This weekend, Jack took to Instagram to share how his life was going after leaving rehab and admitted that he was living out of a hotel while he tried to figure out “what to do”.
“I thought I’d be getting more support from people close to me that haven’t shown that support,” he said in a video. “Listen, I’m a 34-year-old man, you can’t rely on your family all the time.
“One thing they told me in rehab, and it’s true, you’re not gonna walk out of rehab to a red carpet rolled out for you because it’s stuff you should have been doing anyway.”
He explained that he tried living in Liverpool, but that it “didn’t work out” and that he doesn’t have “much left”, other than his dog, who is staying in the hotel with him. He said: “I’m just gonna reset and work out what to do and where I wanna live.”
Jack praised his dog for helping him through the tough time. “Got my beautiful dog, Elvis,” he said. “Without him, I probably wouldn’t even be here, to be honest.”
He added that he was being “optimistic” about the future. “There’s been a few struggles along the way, and look, I’m starting again from zero. I’m a very optimistic person, and I just think it can’t get any worse than this.” Jack said he would try to “get back into TV work” and was focusing on his acting. “I’m gonna do all the things I said I was gonna do,” he promised.
As well as alcohol and drug addictions, the Love Island star has battled an eating disorder. He opened up to The Sun about his struggled with bulimia, a condition where a person binge eats and then forces themself to throw up to get rid of the food. He shared that he had been “bulimic for 19 years: and is “in agony without daily medication”. He also said he could be on the medication for “forever”.
