Kerry Katona Opens Up On Devastating ‘Baby Loss’ With BF, Paolo, Couple Have An Age Gap Of 11 Years

Kerry Katona first time opened up about her heartbreaking miscarriages for the first time. For the unversed, Kerry is a famous British singer and television personality. She started her showbiz journey with the pop group Atomic Kitten and rose to fame in the late 1990s. Recently, the 45-year-old opened up about her desire to have a child and how she suffered baby loss twice with her beau, Paolo.

Kerry Katona on her heartbreaking miscarriage

The 45-year-old, Kerry Katona is dating 33-year-old Paolo Margaglione. Recently, in an interview with Paul C Brunson for his podcast We Need To Talk, the singer talked about her devastating loss. She is a mother of five children from her previous marriage. She revealed that she lost another baby in December 2025. 

Kerry, who is 11 years older than her boyfriend, revealed that the future of their relationship seems to be dicey. Paolo revealed that he wants to have a baby with Kerry, but she nearly died having her fifth child. It was a traumatic birth, and her daughter is 12 years old now. Kerry revealed that her daughter stopped breathing the moment she was born. And she also nearly died during the child birth. Amidst it, her boyfriend, Paolo, revealed that it would be selfish of him to think of having a child with Kerry when she already has five children, who love her. 

Paolo further revealed that his girlfriend, Kerry, got ‘unknowingly pregnant’ during the finale of Celebs Go Dating, which is where the two met. Kerry revealed that she found out about it in the morning, while Paolo could smell it on her. She revealed having hormonal spots, and when she did the test, she was left shocked. She said:

“On the finale, I was pregnant, and I found out that morning. I kept getting these hormonal spots, and I did a test at night, it said no, so I thought I’d do one early in the morning. We were in the apartment of the hotel. I got up early, so I thought I’ll go do my meditation so I won’t wake him up. And I peed on the stick…and nothing came up, so I went and did my meditation, and I went back [to look at the stick], and I went ‘no way’. I ran and woke him up. Seven years I never fell pregnant.”

Kerry further admitted that the thought of having an abortion killed her, as it was made out of love. However, she lost the baby. After which, the couple tried again to get pregnant and when they did, Kerry lost the baby at four weeks. That’s when she realised how much she wanted to have a child. She said:

“And then the thought of having an abortion killed me. It felt like it was made from love… And unfortunately, I miscarried and then we tried [again]. And I’d miscarried again, only at four weeks. And I didn’t realise how much I wanted it then.”

Kerry revealed that after this, the two got their fertility test and they had come to the conclusion that if it happens, it happens and if it is meant for them. The couple moved in together after two months of dating. And their families have accepted each other. It is worth mentioning that Paolo has two daughters from his previous marriage. On the other hand, Kerry has five children. The eldest one, Molly, is 24 years old, and Lilly-Sue is 23 years old. Her youngest one, Dylan Jorge, is 12 years old, whom she shares with her late ex-husband, George Kay.
