In 2015, she first sparked rumours when fans noticed her sharp jawline. However, experts shut down rumours and explained that it was teenage development.

Around 2016-2018, the noise about her changed appearance increased when fans noticed a contoured nose, defined lips and sculpted cheekbones. Soon people started claiming that Zendaya had gotten a nose job and lip fillers. However, the Euphoria actress never addressed the same. Talking about her eyebrows, she once shared, “I only let one person touch them—her name is Kelley Baker. I’m very appreciative of my eyebrows.”

Zendaya sparked surgery rumours after her role in Euphoria

After Season 1 of Euphoria premiered in 2019, fans noticed some major changes in Zendaya‘s appearance. At this time, multiple users started sharing her before and after pictures. Later, renowned plastic surgeons started analysing her looks and revealed that she might have gotten rhinoplasty and blepharoplasty done. 

Apart from her looks, the actress also grabbed attention for a hint of red colour in her hair. At that time, Zendaya once spoke about her red hair and said, “I use this stuff called Overtone. It’s a color-depositing conditioner, and it’s so easy—boom! That’s what I’ve been using for this red. I mix the red and the orange, put it in there, rinse it, and then it’ll wash out within a month.”

Amid all the speculations around Zendaya’s changed look, one of her fan pages took to their Instagram handle and shared a before-and-after photo of the Euphoria actress and penned a note. The account claimed that Zendaya has never been under the knife and is naturally beautiful. The note can be read as:

“I cannot believe I am posting about this, but frankly, we have seen some people accuse her of plastic surgery. Zendaya has never gone under a needle. No fillers, no nose jobs. She just has a perfect, beautiful face and it’s hard for some people to believe she is naturally this beautiful.”

Zendaya looked completely different at 2026 Golden Globes

During the 2026 Golden Globes, Zendaya made headlines for her looks. Her face looked sharper and more sculpted. It also looked less round as compared to her early years. The photos also suggested that her makeup style had changed as she now preferred smooth skin with bronze finish, glossy lips and smokey eyes. 

What experts believe about Zendaya’s changed appearance?

Over the years, multiple experts have spoken about Zendaya’s appearance. While some felt that she got an upper bleph, others felt it was rhinoplasty. According to a report by The Glow Memo, a surgeon, Dr. Joel Kopelman opened up about Zendaya and speculated that she might have gotten two rhinoplasties. The surgeon was quoted as saying:

“In 2013… it looks like there’s a narrowing of her nasal bridge and a more prominent bridge. Later in 2018… it looks like there is a narrowing of the nasal tip here, and her alae [sides] do not look as prominent. It [also] looks like she augmented her lips with some fillers at various times.”

Zendaya likes to experiment with her looks

In 2016, the Spider Man actress, Zendaya indirectly addressed the rumours and shared that she loves to experiment with her looks as it helps her gain confidence. She further described it as ‘empowering’ and revealed that whenever she is on the red carpet, she tries to impress herself and not the people. In her words:

“For me, experimenting with your look is how you find your confidence. It’s really helped me find myself. You don’t know who you’re going to be unless you try different things and open up your mind. When I started really trying to dress for myself or do my hair for myself—doing things strictly because they made me feel good—it was so empowering. So when I’m on a red carpet, it’s not to impress anybody else but myself.”
