Kakinada:Jana Sena leaders in Attili mandal of West Godavari district have lodged a complaint with Attili police alleging that miscreants were collecting money by misusing the name of Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan.
Jana Sena mandal president Dasam Prasad and others alleged that fraudsters were collecting crores of rupees by invoking Pawan Kalyan’s name. They said fake letterheads bearing his name were fabricated and used along with forged recommendation letters to deceive victims.
The leaders said the incident has created a sensation in the area and urged police to conduct a detailed investigation and take strict action against those involved.
Attili sub-inspector Viswanath said a representation had been received from Jana Sena leaders. He said no victim had lodged a formal complaint so far and added that a preliminary inquiry was underway.
