David Haye‘s girlfriend Sian Osborne has spoken out about the boxer’s “ugly bird” comment on I’m A Celeb. She declared his remarks a compliment and slammed the other campmates as hypocrites after David came under fire for his words.
Last week, on the hit ITV show, David said Sian had the “personality of a proper ugly bird”. He explained that, while Sian is pretty, she has a similar personality to “ugly girls”, whom he thinks work harder to have a personality.
He said: “Most ugly girls realise they’re not pretty enough. They’ve got to have a personality, to banter and to tell jokes and s**t, so people overlook the fact that they’re not aesthetically amazing.”

Sian told The Sun on Sunday that she was not offended by what David said. She said: “I consider it a compliment. A big one.” She added that her family found it “hilarious” and that David was giving her “something the modelling industry never once did”.
The 33-year-old said he was trying to say she was a “girl so full of life and character that her looks become irrelevant”. She said it was not “inflammatory” and that people were “looking for something to be offended” over.
David’s comments were met with huge backlash on I’m A Celeb, especially by Beverley Callard who said she’d “never heard anything so sexist”. But, Sian said that, while she “wasn’t surprised” they “kicked off”, she thought it was because women “aren’t used” to men like David, who she thinks is the “embodiment of masculinity”.
Sian insisted that she feels “completely safe” with David and would rather be with him than a man who is “too scared of his own shadow to speak his mind”.
Sian also said that when she was a teenager, she was bullied relentlessly for her looks, particularly her height. She said that even the teachers made comments and when it came to school photos, they would put her in the centre and have everyone either side of her descended in height order “because they thought it was funny”.
She added that when she went on to model, she was “a coat hanger with a face” and only got jobs because of her looks, making her personality “irrelevant”.
Sian also slammed the those telling her she should be offended as “hypocritical”. She argued that feminism was about making sure women did not “have their choices made for them” and therefore people telling her that she should be offended were “doing exactly what you claimed to be fighting against”.
The model slammed the current era as “an epidemic of the neutered male” and said it was making her “sick”. She argued men were “thoroughly worn down” by social media and cancel culture. She said it was a “genuine loss” that “real, powerful, unfiltered alpha males are a dwindling species”.
David and Sian have been together since 2020 and are in an open relationship that often includes a third person. Their ‘throuple’ has been highly publicised. The Saturday’s Una Healy was rumoured to be involved but she denied that.
