The reality TV star has been at the center of a firestorm in recent months over her highly publicized fallout with her ex-partner, Dakota Mortensen. Her legal row for a resurfaced barstool-throwing video from 2021, followed by additional domestic violence charges by Dakota, put Taylor’s reality TV career in jeopardy, causing the cancellation of The Bachelorette season 22, starring her in the lead.

Recently, prosecutors confirmed that they won’t be pursuing new domestic violence charges against her. Now, the MomTok star has opened up about her messy healing journey in a raw and emotional social media post.

On Sunday, April 19, 2026, Taylor took to her Instagram with a series of mirror selfies as she shared how the ordeal had taken a toll on her mental and physical well-being. In her lengthy post, the MomTok star shared that she doesn’t wish whatever she has been through “upon [her] worst enemy.” Taylor wrote:

“This public atrocity that I not only lived through once but twice now, on even a bigger scale, was ultimately the cost to my freedom. I wouldn’t wish this upon my worst enemy or even the ones who publicized it.”

The mom of three further wrote about what has been a “living hell” for her and her family, and thanked the almighty for helping her through this. Taylor mentioned that her charges were dropped on the seventh day after seven weeks of legal row. She wrote:

“God undoubtedly had a hand in this because after waiting 7 weeks on the 7th day EXACTLY I received the call all charges dropped. Those are his numbers symbolic for his plans which I’m nervous to see what’s in store.”

Taylor’s post comes after months of scrutiny involving her relationship with Dakota Mortensen. Authorities had been investigating multiple alleged domestic incidents, including a resurfaced 2023 altercation that sparked widespread backlash online. However, the Salt Lake County District Attorney ultimately declined to file charges, citing insufficient evidence and statute-of-limitations issues.

In a follow-up post on Instagram, the Mormon Wives alum opened up about her mental health, stating she had previously been diagnosed with PTSD, something she believes may now have developed into complex PTSD. Taylor wrote:

“I was diagnosed with PTSD about two years ago which I assume is now cptsd…by more than one therapist for all those that assumed diagnoses.”

C-PTSD, or Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, is an advanced stage of the condition that develops from long-term, repeated trauma. While the condition shares the core symptoms such as flashbacks, avoidance, and hypervigilance, it is more complex in terms of emotional regulation, relationships, and even self-identity.

The domestic abuse controversy, together with all the leaked video footage and call recordings, has had a direct impact on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, with production reportedly paused amid the drama. The case members of the Bravo reality show expressed their hesitation to work with Taylor.

Now, with her charges officially being dropped, insiders suggest Taylor is in a “much better place” and open to returning. However, the makers have yet to confirm whether the MomTok icon will be seen after Season 4.
