The reggae tour of the year is here.
Buju Banton recently announced he’s striking out on his North American ‘Roots and Rhymes Tour’ with co-headliner Stephen Marley.
From mid-June through late July, the Rastafarian icons will light up 22 arenas, amphitheaters and pavilions all over the U.S. and Canada alongside special guests Gramps Morgan and Splackavelli on select dates.
That includes three stops in New York and New Jersey for the dancehall legend Banton and roots reggae icon Marley. They’re slated to go down at:
Bethel Woods Center For The Arts
Bethel, NY
Sunday, July 12
UBS Arena
Belmont Park, NY
Saturday, July 18
Hard Rock Hotel and Casino
Atlantic City, NJ
Sunday, July 19
If you’d like to see the electric pair live, tickets are available for all summer 2026 ‘Roots and Rhymes Tour’ concerts.
At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on tickets for any one show was $63 including fees on StubHub.
Prices start at $150 including fees for the Belmont Park gig.
This history-making tour is notable because it will be the first time the reggae legends — and longtime friends of over 30 years (!) — have taken off on an official co-headlining trek in their storied careers.
As fans may recall, Banton made his return to the U.S. two summers ago when he struck out on his long-awaited 2024 ‘Overcomer Tour’ (which is also known as the ‘Long Walk To Freedom Tour’). Prior to that, his last time performing in the States was 2011.
Based on our findings at Set List FM, he regularly performed 30 songs a night including fan favorites “Hills and Valleys,” “Champion,” “Murderer,” “Bonafide Love” and “23rd Psalm.”
“…it was more than a concert, it was more than a show. It was an experience I have waited such a long time for, and it did not disappoint at all,” World A Reggae gushed in a review of an August 2024 concert in Washington, D.C. “Buju is so amazing to see and hear live. The vocals, the charisma, the emotions, the dancing, the jumping, the band, the everything.”

Buju Banton new music
In 2026, The 52-year-old Kingston native has released a number of new songs.
Up first is the slinky duet “Company” with Ari Lennox that is equal parts groovy and sensual.
After that, Banton lent his explosive energy to the booming, high-octane jam “X-Rated” with DJ MAC and CrashDummy.
He didn’t stop there. The inspirational “African Soldier” with Patoranking slows things down but doesn’t lose any of Banton’s infectious spirit.
“Butterflies” might be the most playful track of the bunch. Its jolly instrumentals coupled with Banton’s playful vocals makes for a song that you can’t help but smile to.
Finally, Buju went all out with the attack-like epic “Not Sure (Rapid Burst Riddim),” which will surely be a fist-pumping singalong (if you can keep up!) at live shows.

Stephen Marley new music
Most recently, Marley released the single “1000 Lashes” with Protoje.
The laid-back track features smooth vocals over a calming back beat. Not many songs leave you relaxed and tapping your toes along to the music. “1000 Lashes” pulls off that feat with ease.
To hear for yourself, you can find the chill single here.
