Hyderabad: Reservoirs that supply drinking water to the city have more water compared to the previous year, except the one at Singur where the project is under repair. Water has been previously drawn from Singur and stored, the Water Board said.
The board supplies the city 570 million gallons per day (MGD) through six major sources excepting Singur —Osmansagar, Himayatsagar, Manjira, Akkampally, Nagarjunasagar and Sripada Yellampally on the Godavari.
According to HMWS&SB data, the storage capacity in these reservoirs on Monday stood at 39.783 tmc ft compared to 26.104 tmc ft on the same day in 2025. The HMWS&SB has the capacity to supply 600 MGD of drinking water; of this 30 mgd is not being supplied due to damage to the Manjeera supply network at a few places.
