A representative of Duff told People that the couple ended their relationship around the first of the year. The rep also shared that the actress seeks privacy for her young daughters.

Haylie and Matt have been engaged since 2014 and are parents to two daughters, Ryan Ava Erhard, 10, and Lulu Gray, 7. The couple didn’t share any scandalous reason for their split and are presently focussing on their kids. After the reports of her broken engagement surfaced, media outlets reached to Duff for comment, but didn’t receive any response immediately.

Haylie and Matt have often stated that they felt married and were not in a rush to formally wed as their focus was to raise their kids. Haylie and Matt earlier had plans to officiate their relationship but had to postpone it as Haylie got pregnant with their elder daughter, Ryan. Haylie later revealed that her wedding day would be different as she would have her little angels beside her.

In 2021, Haylie spoke about her relationship with Matt in an interview with Page Six. In the interaction, Haylie revealed how her elder daughter, Ryan often asks when her parents would get married. Speaking about the same, she shared:

“We feel married in a lot of ways. I mean, we couldn’t be more married if we tried. We’ve got two kids and couldn’t be more married if we tried, but I think both of us envisioned doing it in Texas, and so now that we’re here, the conversations are happening a little more often than they were before.”
