The 27-year-old revealed all of his farming supplies had gone up in flames after a fire ripped through his barn.
Clarkson’s Farm star Kaleb Cooper has shared a horrifying photo showing the devastation left after a fire ripped through a barn on his farm, leaving him without vital supplies.
The farming contractor, 27, posted a photo on Instagram showing smoke billowing out of one of his properties, with the structure still standing but its contents badly affected.
Alongside the image, Kaleb wrote: “I’m having a bad day. Anyone got any straw? Lost all mine.” He has not yet shared further details about how the fire started or the full extent of the damage. The Mirror has reached out to Kaleb’s reps for comment.
Kaleb, who shot to fame on Jeremy Clarkson’s Prime Video series, has become a fan-favourite and breakout star of the show since it launched in 2021, reportedly banking a whopping £1million.
He works closely with the team on Diddly Squat Farm in the Cotswolds, while also running his own smallholding nearby, where he keeps livestock including chickens, sheep and pigs.
The setback comes as Kaleb continues to grow his farming business, having started in the industry at just 13.
He began working as a farm hand as a teenager, before setting up his own contracting business in 2016. Over the years, he has spoken openly about his ambition to one day own a farm outright.
Speaking previously, Kaleb explained that breaking into the industry without inheriting land had shaped his approach, with his contracting work allowing him to build experience across multiple farms.
He has also been vocal about the challenges facing modern farming, including rising land prices, particularly in areas like the Cotswolds.
The dad-of-three appeared on Good Morning Britain in September last year, where he gave a grim update on the state of the farming industry.
While he promoted his new book, Kaleb spoke to hosts Susanna Reid and Ed Balls about the ongoing challenges faced by farmers.
Speaking candidly, Susanna said: “…The reality of farming doesn’t present such a pretty picture, does it? What has this year’s harvest, on top of last year’s harvest, been like?”
Kaleb responded: “Farming on a yearly basis is getting harder and harder with the weather. For example, farmers have had two bad years. Last year, we had an incredibly bad year because of too much rain, and then this year not enough rain.
“Therefore, that’s two bad years on the run. I don’t believe too many farmers are going to survive that. We can survive one bad year, but two bad years on the run is hard work.”
Despite the hardships, Kaleb remains passionate about his work, adding: “But at the same time, it’s amazing. I woke up this morning, got the cows in the background. I’m going to feed all the cows today, it’s something I love doing and I speak very passionate about because I enjoy it.”
