Data showed a 7 per cent rise in petrol and diesel supplies during the first 20 days of April. Domestic LPG demand has remained normal, with 37.77 lakh cylinders delivered so far this month. Authorities are promoting the Delivery Authentication Code, an OTP‑based system to prevent diversion, and urged consumers to book cylinders through SMS, missed calls, IVRS and online portals. Separate systems are available for commercial users.
The state has also expanded alternative fuel access, with 1.03 lakh piped natural gas connections active across Hyderabad, Warangal and Nalgonda.
Officials reported 1,942 enforcement raids and seizure of 5,388 cylinders. They urged the public to rely on verified information and ignore rumours.
