Jackky Bhagnani Calls Marriage With Rakul Preet Singh ‘Situationship’, Her Shocked Reaction Surfaces

Jackky Bhagnani and Rakul Preet Singh are one of the most sorted couples of Tinseltown, but recently, the couple has been making headlines. It all started after Jackky made a shocking remark that the couple is in ‘situationship’ even after marriage. However, Rakul’s reaction looked extremely surprised. 

Jackky Bhagnani called his marriage with Rakul Preet Singh a ‘situationship’

Recently, in an interview on the YouTube channel Zingabad, Jackky Bhagnani spoke about his relationship with Rakul Preet Singh. When the interviewer asked Jackky what he thought about situationships and Gen Z’s attraction to them. Jackky shared that he understands where they are coming from, as they do not have any bondages.

Jackky further added that even his marriage to Rakul Preet Singh is also a ‘situationship’. However, he quickly added that they are exclusive to each other. Meanwhile, Rakul Preet, who had been listening to him all this while, was experiencing intense emotions. But she sighed in relief, Rakul laughed and said, “Of course.” Jackky was quoted as saying:

“Situationship kyo aaj kal ki gen-z chahti hai kyunki unko kya hai na yeh pressure, yeh expectation and bandishein humko nahi chahiye. Rakul aur meri shaadi ho gayi hai, but we are like in a situationship. Yes, we are exclusive to each other, because we are married.”

For the unversed, as per Gen-Z, a situationship is a relationship between two individuals who share deep feelings, hang out together, but never commit to each other. In front of others, they are just friends. Plus, one of them can leave without any accountability or pressure to commit and answer to each other. 

Jacky further revealed that he is free with Rakul and they can share anything on earth. He gave an example and revealed that his ex-girlfriend might have felt awkward around Rakul. But Rakul is not like that as she knows everything about him and there is nothing to hide with her, as they are best friends. He added that their relationship doesn’t feel suffocating and that both of them actively maintain their individual lives and friendships. 

During the same interview, Jackky revealed how both of them entered the relationship after seeing a lot of ups and downs. He stated that they had made it clear that they are happy as individuals, and they want to be together, not to fill any void, but to make each other’s lives happy. Rakul also agreed and stated that they were not filling a void. Neither do they fight on petty issues like not taking her on a holiday, as she can go by herself. She was quoted as saying:

“We are not filling a void in each other’s lives. It’s not like you didn’t take me for a holiday, so I am unhappy. I can go on that holiday by myself. I think there are more important things in life to talk about.”

When Rakul Preet Singh revealed how her relationship was a situationship and ended in marriage

In an earlier interview with Humans Of Bombay, Rakul Preet talked about how her relationship with Jackky started with situationship. She stated that they were chilling together with their group of friends. She stated that they were laughing and having meal. She felt it was like a community but Jackky wasn’t giving name to their relationship as he is not proposed her. So, she would tell his friend and her friends that he wasn’t proposing. Then, one day, his sister told Jackky to stop calling his friends due to the pandemic, that’s when he told her that Rakul was his girlfriend and not friend. So, that’s how he narrated the incident, and Rakul was glad that he accepted their bond.
