Allu Arjun is entering a crucial phase in his career with Raaka, directed by Atlee. While the film is being mounted on a large scale, co-writer Rathna Kumar says its strength lies in its story rather than just its scale.

Speaking to Galatta Plus, Rathna Kumar shared that Raaka carries a universal theme. He explained that the film feels like a true pan-Indian project not because of the cast or setting, but because the story has an international appeal that can connect with audiences across regions.

He also mentioned that working with Allu Arjun has given the team the flexibility to shape the film the way they envision. The makers have already spent considerable time in discussions with the actor, and production is expected to begin in the second week of May.

At the same time, Allu Arjun is preparing for another big project with Lokesh Kanagaraj, tentatively titled AA23 (LK07). The film is said to be a stylised action entertainer with a western-influenced tone. It will also mark his first collaboration with Anirudh Ravichander, who will handle both songs and background score.

Meanwhile, Raaka is expected to rely heavily on CGI and VFX, with early glimpses hinting at a beast-like avatar for Allu Arjun. There are also reports that the film may explore multiple roles and elements of parallel universes, adding a layer of experimentation to its narrative.

Meanwhile,Allu Arjun has rented a swanky house for his stay in Mumbai for shooting the much-hyped film with director Atlee. He is also constructing another massive house in Hyderabad for his family.
