The 2026 NFL Draft somehow traveled back to 2016.
It’s all thanks to Shane Conlan.
The NFL legend read the wrong year while announcing the Bills’ second-round pick in Pittsburgh on Friday night. Yet, it wasn’t the only blunder along the way.
The 62-year-old had trouble reading off the No. 35 pick once he arrived at the podium.
“With the,” Conlan said before he broke off. He then continued saying, “with the thirty-fiveth pick” and then read the year wrong.
However, he did get the pick right — linebacker T.J. Parker out of Clemson.
The awkward moment led some football fans to have concerns about Conlan and his health.
“Man, I hope Shane Conlan is okay,” someone commented on X.
However, there was some criticism over the moment.
“Man they really need to have these ppl rehearse the announcement backstage multiple times first,” an X user wrote.
“I’m pretty sure this man burped in the middle lol,” another posted.
“Luckily he got the easiest of names with TJ Parker,” a second chimed in.
“Who let him go up there bro,” someone else added.
“Conlan didn’t get any of his lines right at all there,” another comment read.
“Skattebo in 10 years,” a user wrote.
Conlan played in the NFL for nine seasons from 1987 through 1995.
He spent six seasons with the Bills, with whom he earned all three of his Pro Bowl nods and won Defensive Rookie of the Year.
His final three seasons were split between the Rams (1993-94) and the Steelers (1995).
