A 29-year-old man was found dead in his rented PG accommodation in Gurugram, allegedly after an overdose of a sex-enhancing drug. The deceased, identified as Rohit Lal, was a native of Nagpur and worked with the Quality Council of India in New Delhi, PTI reported.
How Incident Came To Light?
Police said the incident came to light after a colleague, who usually commuted with him, tried calling him but received no response. Repeated knocks on the door also went unanswered. The colleague then alerted the police, who broke open the door and found Lal lying dead on his bed.
What Preliminary Investigation Reveal?
Preliminary investigation suggests Lal had invited his fiancée over, but died before she arrived. Police suspect a possible overdose may have triggered a heart attack. Wrappers of some medicines and health supplements were also recovered from the room, said police.
Viscera samples and recovered medicines have been sent for forensic analysis, and the exact cause of death will be confirmed after the report, said Sector 53 SHO Satender Rawal.
