Hyderabad: Telangana continued to reel under intense summer heat with several districts recording above-normal temperatures and heatwave-like conditions prevailing across the state.
According to official data, the state’s average maximum temperature stood at 41.8°C, which is 0.8°C above normal. Nizamabad recorded the highest temperature of 44.4°C at Mendora, making it the hottest location in the state for the day.
Other districts also witnessed soaring temperatures, with Jagtial registering 44.3°C, Kamareddy and Mancherial touching 44.2°C each. Several northern and central districts including Nirmal, Peddapalli, and Adilabad also reported temperatures above 44°C.
Even districts in southern and eastern parts of the state experienced high temperatures, with Nalgonda and Bhadradri Kothagudem recording around 44°C.
In the capital, Hyderabad registered a maximum temperature of 41.6°C, slightly above the normal for this time of the year.
