Victoria Beckham and her daughter Harper have jetted to America, where Brooklyn is undergoing crystal healing. The fashion designer and her eldest son have been locked in a sad feud for months.
Earlier this year, following months of speculation, Brooklyn took to social media and issued a blistering attack against his family. He claimed that his parents, Sir David Beckham and Lady Victoria, were more concerned about “performative” social media posts, with “Brand Beckham” coming first.
Both David and Victoria have remained relatively tight-lipped about the fallout, aside from saying that, over the course of their lives, they’ve done nothing but try to protect their children. And now, Victoria and her daughter, Harper, 14, have jetted to New York for a business trip.
The pair were in the Big Apple to promote Victoria’s beauty brand at Nordstrom’s flagship store in the city. The mother and daughter also posed for a string of snaps with Victoria’s beauty products at the department store.
While Victoria was busy on the East Coast, her eldest was at home on the West Coast, focusing on crystal healing with his wife, Nicola Peltz-Beckham, in Los Angeles.
Crystal healing is an alternative therapy, a pseudoscientific practice, that uses gemstones to balance energy, support physical and emotional well-being, and reduce stress. Victoria has previously stated that she surrounds herself with positive energy and even sleeps with crystals to protect this.
Posh Spice was introduced to crystals after moving to California in 2007 and still owns her first crystal. Speaking to Porter magazine in 2022, she said: “I have quite a few by the side of my bed, I hold them. I like to meditate – or try to meditate – and relax.”
She added: “My first crystal was a black obsidian, and I still carry it everywhere with me. I like to surround myself with positive energy, and so often have a little collection of crystals in my handbag.”
On Saturday night, Brooklyn shared a string of snaps from his healing session with Nicola. One image showed the couple cuddling one another on the floor, surrounded by a string of large crystals, before giving fans a glimpse into his day.
Captioning his post, wannabe chef Brooklyn simply said: “X.” But some fans hit out at Brooklyn following his earlier statement about wanting privacy and slamming “performative social media posts”.
One Instagram user commented: “Privacy,” alongside a laughing face. While a second went on to write: “If this isn’t attention seeking I don’t know what is….. just very weird.” “Glad he’s getting away from all the ‘staged photos’ that he ‘hated’ so much,” commented another.
Meanwhile, a fourth typed: “Performative Post?” However, others were quick to defend Brooklyn, with one person typing: “They are happy… that’s all there is to know.” “Love this embrace of two people who have each other’s back, despite the opinions of strangers,” said a second.
While a third commented: “Living their best life without jealous people.” In the past, Victoria has also incorporated crystals into her successful fashion brand’s marketing campaigns. She said previously: “We clipped crystals onto belt loops, and included secret pockets for them on wide leg trousers—so you can carry charms wherever you go.
“I started by looking at my own crystal collection, and thinking about what might be important to my customer. She’s strong and successful, and I wanted to offer something that could provide support navigating her career and her personal life.
“As with all my collections, I want to make my customer feel confident and secure, and for me adding crystals felt like a nice way to help do that.”
