EXCLUSIVE: Katie Price’s husband Lee Andrews claimed he made secret trips to the UK and met her children, but sources have denied the claims as her family prepares to challenge him

Katie Price’s new husband’s claims that he has met her children have led to confusion and anger, with the star’s family ready to confront him when – or rather if – he finally visits the UK.

Last week, Lee Andrews stated he has made secret trips to Britain and spent time with Katie’s three eldest children. In a voice note to a newspaper, the Dubai-based businessman said, “People don’t know I’ve met Harvey and two of the kids. I haven’t seen the young ones.”

He went on, “I’ve been back and forth, I just don’t f**king tell anyone. I lead a very private life. I tell people what they want to hear, the rest they can make up, you know.”

But in an embarrassing blow, a representative for Katie, 47, denied the claims, while a source close to her children, Junior and Princess, who she shares with ex-husband Peter Andre, said they have never met Lee, 43, in person.

Now, a source close to Katie – who is currently back in the UK – tells n ew the star is growing “frustrated” with having to defend Lee, while her family are said to be preparing to give him a grilling should they finally come face-to-face.

“Her mum and her sister are very protective and won’t pull any punches. Her family have had enough,” claims our source. “They are keen to challenge him on things he has said and there will definitely be some kind of showdown. If her family and friends were to meet him in person, they would have something to say. They just want the best for Katie and they are so scared that he isn’t right for her, and she will get hurt.”

Earlier this month Lee, who married Katie in January after a whirlwind 10-day romance, claimed he will move to the UK in May – despite reports he is currently subject to a travel ban after spending three weeks in jail last year for allegedly obtaining funds by deception.

Although Lee has denied he’s forbidden from leaving the UAE, during the latest episode of her podcast, The Katie Price Show , Katie suggested a ban was in place, saying, “you can get a travel ban over anything in Dubai – a parking ticket, or if you owe a bill for electricity or something”.

She also appeared to do a dramatic U-turn over plans to move permanently into the £36 million Dubai home Lee claims he “bought with cash”.

Vowing to prioritise family over her new marriage, she said in a now-deleted YouTube video, “I don’t know why people think I’m moving. My family’s here. The husband is there, but the husband [can] come here and I can go to Dubai.”

She also sounded reluctant to leave her animals, saying she needed to “re-evaluate my life a little bit and just have a little think about everything”.

According to our source, Katie’s sudden decision to stay in the UK is telling.

“Katie is getting a little frustrated with Lee,” claims our source. “He says he’s seen the kids and yes, he’s seen them via Zoom and FaceTime. But he hasn’t seen them physically because he’s not able to come over. He has said he is coming to the UK in May, but people don’t believe he will.”

Meanwhile, her loved ones are still deeply concerned about Lee’s true intentions and, claims our source, will fight to protect Katie.

“Her family are saying, ‘Look at the track record, Katie. Look at his past relationships.’ They think he’s with her for the total wrong reasons,” claims our source.

Although our source says Katie is “still in love” with Lee, things aren’t quite as rosy as they were just a few weeks ago.

“The honeymoon period is over,” claims our source. “She’s getting frustrated that he can’t come over. She’s said [to Lee] her home is here, her family is here, Harvey is here. She can’t just abandon him.

“He’s said he can travel, but he’s said a lot of things and she’s getting sick and tired of having to defend him.

They added, “The cracks are starting to show.”

Within days of Katie and Lee’s quickie wedding, the mum-of-five was bombarded with claims the self-proclaimed multi-millionaire is not all he seems.

His ex-fiancée Alana Percival, who said Lee proposed to her the previous year in exactly the same venue as he did with Katie, famously told her to “run for the hills”.

Then doubts were cast over Lee’s academic and business credentials. Among the most outlandish was his claim that he has a PhD from the University of Cambridge. However, the institution said they have no record of him studying there.

His LinkedIn page also stated he was a Member Of The Board of Advisors for the Labour Party and Director of Philanthropy at The King’s Trust – formerly The Prince’s Trust – claims that Lee has admitted were false, blaming a former personal assistant for the gaffes.

He further claimed to have met Kim Kardashian and worked with her mother, Kris Jenner, but Kim’s team denied this.

Whatever the truth regarding Lee’s proposed move to the UK, Katie appears conflicted as she struggles to choose between her family and her new husband.

“It’s as if Katie is caught between two worlds,” says our source. “She is torn between choosing her family and Lee.

“Essentially, it’s an ultimatum.”
