The arrest was the result of an investigation that was launched in 2022. The police reportedly obtained a tip related to the matter.

According to the New York Post, Nathan Chasing Horse had a backup plan in case the police ever attempted to break the family apart. Nathan’s five wives allegedly underwent training to use firearms and were told to swallow some fatal pills. The abuse cases started in various places in the early 2000s, and the police acquired evidence from Nathan’s house, which included videos of the alleged sex assaults stored on memory cards.
