Gogglebox star Roisin Kelly confirmed her split from boyfriend Joe Kyle on Instagram, months after they were axed from the Channel 4 show

Gogglebox star Roisin Kelly has revealed her split from Joe Kyle, just months after they moved into a new home together. Viewers were left shocked when the pair were “brutally axed” from the hit series last year, after three years of sharing their TV opinions with the world.

The Channel 4 star has now posted a string of photos on Instagram, confirming that her relationship with her former co-star was officially over. One snap showed her holding an envelope with the phrase, “an antidote for a broken heart”, while she could also be seen reading Robin Norwood’s book, Women Who Love Too Much.

Alongside the cryptic carousel, she appeared to reference a break-up, with the caption: “Well table for 1 it is then girls! #brutallyaxedagain.”

Roisin didn’t share the reason behind their split, but fans and friends quickly flooded the comments section with one insisting: “If Gogglebox didn’t know your worth what can be said about a BOY.”

“Hot girl summer pending girly,’” another predicted, as a follower suggested: “Chicken wine and a smoke will sort yee. Big hugs lassie x.”

Roisin and Joe came to fame after making their Gogglebox debut in 2022, and quickly became firm favourites with viewers watching from home.

Many were shocked when they disappeared from the show last year ahead of season 26, with the former couple issuing a joint statement about their exit soon after. It read: “After three and a half years of sitting on the sofa, Channel 4 have decided it’s time for Joe and I to stretch our legs and have not asked us back for season 26. Therefore we are leaving the Gogglebox family.

“We have made friends for life and after filming every week for years you have become like our family! We could not have asked for better people to work with and we will miss you immensely.”

In a subsequent video, Roisin made light of headlines suggesting they were “brutally axed”, insisting: “We weren’t asked back to do series 26. They had just said they wanted to take the show in another direction, away from our house. There’s not really any lore or any stories to it.

“We had an amazing time on the show. You need to be grateful for the opportunity. Not people can say they got to be on Gogglebox and watch TV for money.”
