I’m A Celebrity star, Adam Thomas, has won the support of David Haye’s ex, after an explosive All Stars series. The boxer, 45, and Waterloo Road, 37, star locked horns in South Africa, with David criticising Adam for not taking part in some of the show’s trials.
During the bombshell reunion last week, Adam is said to have snubbed a handshake from the former heavyweight champion, who accused the dad-of-two of not having the “mental strength” to compete on the show, despite apologising to him afterwards.
However, now Adam has been publicly supported by David’s ex, Una Healy, whom he dated three years ago. Taking to Instagram, sharing a snap of his son, Teddy, who proudly poses with four trophies from his dance competitions, Adam wrote: “One thing I’ve learnt though is as you get older you start to realise, it’s not about trophies or crowns, none of that really matters.
“I already won a long time ago. Everything I need is right here.” Liking the post, The Saturday’s star, Una, showed her support after David reportedly rattled Adam so much during the I’m A Celeb reunion last week, he threw his crown of flowers to the ground in anger.
In what was one of ITV’s most chaotic broadcasts of recent years, former boxer David and ex-footballer Jimmy Bullard once again clashed with Adam. The actor also came to blows with the pair in the jungle, with Adam recently revealing that David’s comments “broke” him.
David was slammed for branding Adam “useless” after he declined to participate in a trial due to a medical condition. Meanwhile, Adam and Jimmy clashed when Jimmy withdrew from a trial, leaving Adam at risk of being sent home early.
Despite the show being filmed months in advance, things hadn’t eased between the trio. On Friday, as Adam was crowned, Haye reportedly goaded the star saying: “You’re not a worthy winner,” before Adam fumed: “This is bullying.”
Una, meanwhile, had lifted the lid, lightly, on her now infamous relationship with David.
Talking to The Sun, the mum-of-two stated that she was in a relationship with just David, saying the rumours surrounding her made her realise what she won’t tolerate certain things.
Admitting she hasn’t had the “best track record” when it comes to romance, she said: “I’ve moved on so long ago from all that.”
Insisting she now has “non-negotiables”, she continued: “You live and learn in life. I think that I’ve learned now what I don’t want, and I’m going to have my non-negotiables, what I will not tolerate or put up with.
“I don’t want to do the whole situationship thing. I’ve done that, I tried that. It’s not very fulfilling. I’ve actually written a song about it.”
