NFL Analyst Slams Mike Vrabel Post Buying Gift For His Wife At Airport, ‘When Was The Counselling?’

The Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini drama shows no sign of stopping anytime soon. To catch you up, it all began when Page Six exposed the duo by publishing pictures of them being seemingly affectionate with each other at a luxury resort in Sedona, Arizona. Considering that Mike and Dianna are married to different people, their hugging, holding hands, and spending time together in a hot tub did not sit well with many who saw the pictures. 

To add fuel to the fire, Page Six released another set of bombshell photos where Mike and Dianna can be seen kissing in a bar. Following the intense backlash, Mike issued a public apology and even missed Day 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft to attend counselling. However, NFL analyst, Mike Florio refuses to believe the same. 

Mike Florio slams Mike Vrabel, calling out his ‘strange’ behaviour 

As we previously mentioned, Mike Vrabel decided a few days ago to skip Day 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft to undergo counselling amid the ongoing Dianna Russini controversy. However, Page Six later published some pictures which showed the New England Patriots’ head coach out shopping in Salt Lake City, seemingly buying his wife an apology gift. According to NBC’s Pro Football Talk analyst, Mike Florio, those pictures raise many questions about the situation. Instead of providing us with answers, the pictures have raised more eyebrows. He suggests that Mike skipping Day 3 of the NFL draft to attend counselling is not believable. He stated:

“I know the Patriots would love nothing more than to turn the page. It’s their own fault for how they mishandled this from the get-go. It continues to be a story because it has been one PR debacle after another. But he’s back now, and there are still questions. I don’t think this idea of skipping the third day of the draft to attend counselling ever flew with anyone.”

While you might think the latest narrative about Mike seemingly buying a gift for his wife in Salt Lake City would be viewed positively, that isn’t the case. Mike Florio pointed out that if the Patriots’ head coach was out shopping in Salt Lake City, when did he go to get counselling? He stated:

“And when you throw in the fact that the New York Post [Page Six] now has photos of Mike Vrabel in Salt Lake City Airport on Saturday, when was the counselling? Where was the counselling? What was really going on here? And I don’t want to go too far down the speculation lane, but there are constantly new developments, and it seems like every new development raises more questions and makes a strange situation seem even stranger.”

About Mike Vrabel’s sighting at the Salt Lake City International Airport during his counselling break

It was on Saturday, April 25, 2026, that Mike Vrabel was spotted at the Salt Lake City International Airport. Based on photos published by Page Six, the 50-year-old appeared to be inside a gift shop, browsing for clothes. After some time, he ended up picking a baby-blue women’s sweatshirt and hurried over to the store’s counter to pay.

An eyewitness who spoke to the publication revealed that Mike was “speed-walking to the register” after making his choice. It is worth noting that a detail that stood out was Mike sporting his wedding ring. While Mike’s wife, Jen Vrabel, was not seen alongside him during the outing, some claim that the reason he was spotted in that area was that his family owns a home in Park City, Utah.
