The report further sparked speculations about their breakup, and the news gained traction on TikTok, X and Reddit. Many social media users claimed that the pair no longer appeared on each other’s following lists, making it clear they were no longer following each other. Neither Selena Gomez nor Benny Blanco has publicly commented on the speculation, and there is currently no verified evidence that the couple have separated.

Earlier this month a post has gone viral on X, wherein a user claimed that Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez are going through issues in their marital life. It was further mentioned in the post that several reports suggested Selena caught Benny cheating on her via texts, and she later learned it was another celebrity. The viral post also mentioned that Selena has moved out of their LA home and is residing in her own apartment in California.

It all began with an alleged story from Selena Gomez’s profile. Several social media users claimed that a story allegedly from Selena’s social media made the rounds, in which she said she was single and later deleted the post. As Selena and Benny’s divorce rumours made its way, a post went viral. The post was removed from the page named Hoops Crave, which stated that Selena and Benny were heading for a divorce. However, the page was a self-proclaimed parody, and thus the statement was false.

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s love story

Selena and Benny Blanco met each other back when he co-produced the song, Same Old Love in 2015. Following this, they met again in 2019, when her song, I Can’t Get Enough was released. It was in 2023 that the two sparked a dating buzz, and eventually they confirmed it. In December 2024, Benny proposed to Selena, and in September 2025, the couple married. 

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco made every possible attempt to keep their wedding details under wraps. According to Vogue, the ceremony took place at Santa Barbara’s Sea Crest Nursery, situated on the cliffs above the Channel. The wedding location was revealed only when the guests arrived, including Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Paris Hilton, Martin Short, and Steve Martin. According to TMZ, around 170 close family members and friends attended the ceremony, accompanied by “extra security” to ensure the couple’s privacy.
