TOWIE star Bobby Norris has told of how doctors warned him he could have been just “hours” away from death as he suffered a mystery health condition prior to his face lift

Bobby Norris says doctors were concerned he was just “hours away from death” when he battled a near-fatal health condition. The reality star, 39, who initially found fame on The Only Way is Essex in 2011 and became notable for his his feuds with legendary co-star Gemma Collins, has been open and honest about the numerous bouts of cosmetic work he has had done during his time in the public eye.

His latest round of surgery has seen him undergo a face and neck after having excessive amounts of fillers put in over the last decade but Bobby has now revealed that last year he had a major health issue, which he did not disclose, and decided to go through with the latest procedure now rather than wait til his next milestone.

He said: “I’d had health problems last year and the doctor was honest. I was having so many tests done. There is more of my blood in fridges in Essex than Mounjaro and that’s saying something. We got a specialist in and [he said] ‘Well you could be dead in 12 hours.’ At my age you don’t expect to hear that.

“And I thought ‘Well, I can’t die tonight, I’m going Sheesh.’ It was process of elimination, my heart has been photographed more than Kim Kardashian. Some of the tests come back with ‘There’s a chance it could be this.’ And I was just lying there thinking ‘I’m waiting for my forties but tomorrow isn’t guaranteed.'”

The former Celebs Go Dating star has not ruled out the idea of undergoing anymore surgery in the future, but also hit out at rumours that he is planning to transition into a woman.

Speaking to Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard on Wednesday’s edition of This Morning: “I can’t lie and say I wouldn’t have any more [work done].

“Body dysmorphia is a thing. I know there’s been rumours that I’m transitioning and having feminisation surgery. Who keeps a beard and goes and has the op done? I’m not judging but I’d cut the beard before I cut anything else!

Elsewhere in his lengthy chat on the ITV magazine show, Bobby insisted that he will never be dishonest about the cosmetic work he chooses to have done, but claimed that there are plenty of other celebrities who won’t admit that they have been under the knife.

He added: “I’ve had a few bits and bobs done and I feel really comfortable in Turkey, I use the same provider. I just feel really comfortable but it’s so important to do your homework. Cheapest isn’t always best. Turkey can get a bad rep for surgery, teeth have become famous for Turkey. Do your research. Anywhere in England, you’re gonna get good and bad everywhere. Surgery does come with its dangers, and a lot of people, no tea, no shade, ain’t open about it.

“I don’t believe in lying to people that have followed me and watched me for 15 years because it’s just not achievable through honey and oatmeal scrubs.

“We all know people in showbiz who stand on a red carpet who say ‘Eight hours of sleep, two litres of H2O and a honey and oatmeal scrub.’ Darling, don’t lie to people!

“The influencers who do three squats on the tripod, go on a five day treat and then they come back trying to be a Kardashian. It’s not fair to people!”
