The force is not with Terrell Owens.

The 49ers icon stumbled upon a real-life lightsaber battle while at a park in Los Angeles Tuesday, and he was completely flummoxed by the scene.

As three men dressed in protective gear wielded colorful lightsabers right next to a basketball court, Owens whipped out his phone in shock.

“What in the Star Trek, Star Wars is going on here?” he said as he filmed the guys.

Two of the larpers appeared to be getting lessons from a third as they battled it out on the blacktop. All, however, twirled their weapons as if this was nowhere close to their first time duking it out in public.

And Owens simply couldn’t believe it.

“Maybe they’re getting ready for the Olympics?” he asked. “Maybe they’re getting ready for LA28?

“I’m just waiting for R2D2 to come strolling through here.”

Owens has done his share of nerding-out in his post-football days — he, after all, has become obsessed with pickleball.

But, clearly, role-playing a Jedi is a line he’s not ready to cross.

“There’s really instructions,” he said as the men learned to swing from one another. “Only in LA.”
