Daikin Airconditioning India is expanding its footprint with two new R&D centres—one at Sri City in Andhra Pradesh and another in the Delhi-NCR region—backed by an investment of ₹1,000 crore. The company is scaling up its existing Sri City facility from 100 acres to 200 acres, said Sanjay Goyal, senior vice president, Daikin Airconditioning India.
“We are optimistic about achieving 20 per cent growth in the current financial year, with South India continuing to be a strong market, contributing over 25 per cent to our overall revenue,” he said.
Speaking at the silver jubilee celebrations of Hyderabad-based Sri Comfort Air Products and Services, South India’s largest authorised dealer partner of Daikin, Goyal added, “Over the years, we have achieved several key milestones together. We are confident of reaching a combined milestone of ₹500 crore in turnover in the near future.”
Founded in 2001, Sri Comfort has built a strong presence across South India, executing large-scale HVAC projects for manufacturing plants, hospitals, government institutions, educational campuses, and premium residential developments. As part of its celebrations, the company unveiled an experience centre in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad.
Sri Comfort currently operates in Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Pune, Tirupati, Khammam, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, and Rajahmundry. It plans to expand into Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Kurnool, Anantapur, Madurai, and Mangalore, said CEO B. Kalyanaraman.
“We are currently a ₹110 crore company, with an immediate goal of scaling up to ₹350 crore. We aim to strengthen our workforce, expanding our employee base from 250 to 1,000,” he said at the event last week.
Kanwaljeet Jawa, CMD of Daikin Airconditioning India, said the company achieved a turnover of ₹12,000 crore last fiscal and is on track to surpass ₹20,000 crore by 2030.
