Gail Porter, who rose to fame in the 1990’s as a TV presenter and glamour model, has hit our at Katie Price ahead of the release of her new Sky tell-all documentary

A model in the late 90s, most known for her pin-up content, has slammed Katie Price claiming she cruelly mocked her hair loss.

Gail Porter, now 55, rose to fame in the 1990s on shows like The Big Breakfast and Top of the Pops. She also regularly featured in “lad-mags” such as FHM at around the same time Katie launched her glamour modelling career under the pseudonym of Jordan.

The Scottish star tied the knot with Toploader guitarist Dan Hipgrave in 2001 and welcomed daughter Honey a year later. Despite appearances, she was privately living with post-natal depression and when her marriage ended in 2005, she was hit with alopecia and lost all her hair.

Known for her candidness regarding alopecia, bipolar disorder, and personal hardships—including homelessness—she has transitioned into a mental health advocate, author, and stand-up comedian.

But it has come to light that Katie reportedly made a horrible remark about Gail in the past when introducing her to one of her boyfriends. Taking to the comments section of an Instagram post by Sky TV showing the trailer for Katie’s upcoming tell-all documentary, Katie: Nothing to Hide, Gail made a direct comment about Katie.

Referring to Katie, Gail claimed: “The person who introduced me to one of her boyfriends and said ‘this is Gail. She used to be pretty when she had hair… Google her. Thanks.’”

The comment has over 100 likes to date as well as a flood of replies from other Instagram users. One person wrote: “Whhhhhat?!,” in clear shock. Another said: “That must have been awful for you. I hope you’re okay..”

Katie’s tell-all documentary is in the process of production, and is being made by Louis Theroux. The four-part docu-series promises it will have “intimate access” to the model and the mini series will go “beyond the headlines”, with Sky already promising that it will be absolutely “jaw-dropping”.

Speaking about the production Arron Fellows, co-founder and creative director at Mindhouse, said: “Katie’s 30 years in the spotlight have been truly extraordinary. This series doesn’t shy away from – in Katie’s own words – ’the good, the bad and the ugly’; and this is an unexpected re-appraisal of a woman many people feel they have already figured out.

“The team have spoken to a range of contributors who have crossed paths with Katie at different junctures of her life – through the ups, the downs and everything in between. In doing so have crafted a series that is as jaw-dropping and unpredictable as it is tender and surprising. I can’t wait for people to see it.”
