Yash, who is set to play Ravana in Ramayana, has recently shared fresh details about the high-octane action sequences fans can expect from the cinematic adaptation. In a conversation with foreign media that has since gone viral on social media, he opened up about the film’s ambitious scale. When asked to highlight a particularly crazy stunt or sequence from the film, he pointed toward the iconic confrontation between Ravana and the mythical bird, Jatayu.

Describing the sequence as a major highlight, Yash said, “There are many action scenes, but if you have to draw a comparison, there is one which is the fight with the bird called Jatayu. It is the king of birds. It is a massive bird. There is an action sequence between Ravana and Jatayu. That is going to be crazy. But of course, it is created with the help of visual effects.”

He further talked about the power of his character and the visual grandeur of the scene, promising a cinematic experience that blends traditional lore with modern commercial filmmaking. He said, “He’s Ravana, he’s the best warrior, he’s got so many powers. You have to see it to believe it. The way the scene unfolds it’s magic and full-on commercial action sequence, with the bird in the sky, with the Pushpak vimana, the lotus-shaped flying object, it is going to be spectacular.”

The film, which is being mounted as a two-part spectacle, features a star-studded cast starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Ravie Dubey and Sunny Deol. Interestingly, reports suggest that Amitabh Bachchan will be lending his voice to the character of Jatayu. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, Part 1 of the film will release in theatres during Diwali 2026, while the concluding Part 2 is slated for a Diwali 2027 release.
