LeAnn Rimes took to her Instagram story to express “heartbreak” after being forced to postpone two shows in the US this week as she grapples with a “severe illness”.
LeAnn Rimes has revealed she’s “heartbroken” after being forced to postpone two concerts this week due to a “severe illness”. LeAnn, 43, has had to rearrange two performances in Spokane and Seattle, to May 31 and June 2, respectively.
Announcing the news on her Instagram story, LeAnn revealed the postponement was due to “severe illness”, leaving her “unable to travel and perform”.
She wrote: “I’m sorry to share that the upcoming shows in Spokane and Seattle will be rescheduled… also, good news as we will be seeing you very soon… I am truly heartbroken to have to reschedule and I am so very grateful for your kindness, and continued support as I recover.”
The Voice star didn’t specify what the illness was, but said she looked forward to being back on stage for the performances as she signed off the post “Love, Leann”.
The US singer confirmed all tickets are valid for the rescheduled dates, with those unable to attend eligible for a full refund. LeAnn’s health issues come just weeks after she went viral with a video showing her deep jaw release procedure.
Human Garage and Rimes shared footage of the actress undergoing a so-called self-healing process designed by Garry Lineham. In the minute-long clip, LeAnn can be seen grimacing as her jaw was physically reset with a doctor’s fingers in her mouth, before she burst into floods of tears.
“You can see the exact moment the tension breaks and the emotional weight lifts, leaving her feeling visibly lighter and more aligned.” the video caption explained.
“The jaw is one of the body’s primary storage sites for stress. When we hold back our voice or push through pressure, the fascia in the face and neck ‘locks’ to protect us. By using the manoeuvers to signal safety to the nervous system, we can finally allow that stored energy to move.”
LeAnn’s pain seemed to be so intense in the viral video that many suspected it might not have been genuine, but she quickly shut down the speculation.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, LeAnn assured she definitely wasn’t in acting mode, explaining: “The people were commenting on [the post] being like, ‘Of course the camera was on, she was gonna cry.
“I’m like, ‘I can act, but I am not that good. I am not that good. I’m not Meryl Streep.’” LeAnn more recently reflected on her 15th wedding anniversary with husband Eddie Cibrian in an Instagram post on April 23.
Alongside a series of photos, she wrote: “We got to step away for three days amidst work and some very tense, heart-wrenching things happening at home with family.
“It’s been a very different anniversary, one filled with tears and worry, but in between, there were moments of laughter and deep gratitude for this love of ours. day by day, we walk hand in hand through the rollercoaster of life.”
