Mothers and Children Shine Together in Class X, Open Examination

Kakinada: In an inspiring display of determination, two families in Andhra Pradesh have recorded a rare achievement, with mothers and their children passing together in Class X and Open examinations.

In Palakollu of West Godavari district, Bandaru Lakshmi Lahari, who had discontinued her studies after Class VI, resumed education through Open schooling and secured a perfect 360 out of 360 in the Class X examination. Her son Vijay also appeared for the exam and scored 562 marks.
In another instance from Pedapalla village in Alamuru mandal of Konaseema district, Saladi Satwika scored 543 marks in Class X. Her mother Kumari cleared the Open Intermediate examination with 352 marks.
Kumari had completed Class X before her marriage but could not continue her studies. She later enrolled in Open Intermediate course and passed the examination. Kumari said she plans to continue her education and seek employment.
The achievements of both families drew appreciation and highlighted the role of perseverance in education across generations.
