Lewis Hamilton turns heads with bold runway Saint Laurent look at F1 Miami GP

Seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton turned heads as he arrived at the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix paddock in a full Saint Laurent look straight from the runway.

The Ferrari driver’s ensemble featured a striking, translucent, bright orange anorak worn over a tailored, satin, burnt orange collared shirt and burgundy tie. This was paired with relaxed-fit, pleated dark brown trousers and classic black leather shoes.

Hamilton has transformed the walk to the paddock into his own personal catwalk for many years. The Briton recently opened up on having to break the rules to be able to express himself the way he wanted to during an interview with Esquire.

“To be a racing driver, you had to fit a certain shape: go to bed at 10pm, dress a certain way. For most of my career, every driver arrived in team kits designed by people outside of fashion; the clothes were horrendous.

“I’d arrive and feel terrible wearing the same thing 180 days a year. I asked if I could show up in my own style and change into the kit later. It took a long time to get the bosses to agree. I basically had to break the rules.”

He added: “I just turned up one day in my own clothes. Once they saw the attention and positive press it brought, and how it elevated the brand and the team, they allowed me to do it every single day.”

This comes amid a strong start to the 2026 season for Hamilton. He secured his first podium finish with Ferrari at the Chinese Grand Prix, and he currently sits fourth in the drivers’ championship with 41 points. Ferrari is second in the constructors’ standings with 90 points.

The F1 season will resume at the Miami Grand Prix from 1-3 May and will also include the second sprint race of the year.
