Nalgonda: Nine labourers serve injured in an explosion at pharmaceutical Nosch Labs Unit at Velminedu of Chityal mandal in Nalgonda district on Friday.
The accident took place in third block of the company when one of the reactors blown up leading to injury of nine laborers working in it. Thick smoke engulfed from the block after the blowing of the reactor. The injured laborers were shifted to Kamineni Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) at Narketpally for treatment. The condition of one of the injured workers was said to be critical.
The laborers working in the company on labour holiday on May 1 received criticism from the labour unions.
The district Collector B Chandrasekhar was visited the company and instructed the management to take up safety measures after one worker died and another two injured in an accident in the company.
