Even though she’s been in the spotlight for over 25 years, fans have been left baffled to learn that Mad Men star Christina Hendricks has a second ‘secret’ career away from acting

While Christina Hendricks is best know for her impressive acting portfolio, ranging from Mad Men and Netflix’s Good Girls, fans have been left baffled to learn the star also has a ‘secret’ second career away from our screens.

Starting off her career as a model, before moving into acting in the late 90s, the actress, who turns 51 on May 3 this year, has a long list of films and TV shows in her portfolio. Her work has won her several awards, mainly for her recurring role in hit TV shows Mad Men, and Netflix’s Good Girls. But after almost 30 years in the spotlight, fans have been left baffled to learn about her lesser-known second career.

Taking to her Instagram in March, the Mad Men’s star went on to promote an upcoming DJ’ing gig she had on April Fools Day, as she urged fans to come and see her.

As reported by The MATMAG on Substack, the actor was dancing and singing throughout her set and joined by her husband, camera operator George Bianchini. Her 46-song set was later named a “shoe pop dream gaze” set, with songs from Wolf Alice, Lana Del Rey, and Beach House.

However, several fans were baffled to learn that Christina had a ‘secret’ second career away from acting, and many went on to share their amazement to her in the comment section of her posts.

“I had no idea you DJ. This made my day,” one person commented. Someone else said: “I’d love to hear one of your DJ sets!”

“Beyond excited for this!” a third user shared.

Another fan wrote: “I knew you were cool but I didn’t know you were THAT cool!”

This was not the first time the actress had DJ’d, as she previous performed at Part Time Lover performing with Mary Lattimore. According to her social media, Christina only learned the ropes of DJing back in November 2025, when she shared that Mary had taught her how to get the records spinning.

The photos showed Christina with the singer behind the DJ booths, before she went solo to play her first ever gig for an audience right there.

She wrote on her post: “Thank you @maryoverthere and @parttimelover.hifi for letting me DJ and teaching me how! I’ve never had so much fun and in such a BEAUTIFUL location. Until next time!!!”

And clearly she was a fast learner, as she booked in her first solo sets just four months later at the same venue, which guests has praised for its good mix of music which Christina had mixed together effortlessly, according to TMZ.

Who knows what other talents the actress has hidden up her sleeve.
