Hyderabad: A shocking road rage incident came to light in Meerpet under the Hyderabad Police Commissionerate limits. The incident occurred on May 1 when a car rammed into a two-wheeler carrying a father and son who were travelling from Gayatri Nagar towards LB Nagar.
Following the collision, an argument broke out between the victims and the car occupants. The situation escalated when the driver allegedly assaulted the two-wheeler rider. In a bid to flee the scene, the driver attempted to escape, but the father, identified as Jilani, tried to stop the vehicle.
In a horrifying turn, the driver did not stop and instead drove for nearly 2 kilometres with Jilani clinging onto the bonnet. The car was finally intercepted by locals near Mandamallamma Chowrasta, forcing the driver to abandon the vehicle and flee.
In the incident, Jilani’s son, Faisal, sustained serious injuries and was shifted to a nearby private hospital for treatment. Police are investigating the case and efforts are underway to trace the accused.
