Hyderabad: G. Shanta Kumari has been elected president and K. Mahesh Babu general secretary in the executive committee of the Allied Health Care Professionals Union at the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (Nims). The vice-presidents include Subhadra, Ramanamma and Jagadeesh Kumar and joint secretaries Dr Sudha Rani, Muktadir and Gaddar.
Vasudeva Rao, Vijayalakshmi and Ravi Kaladhar were elected organising secretaries, while Rama Durgamba and Pavitra will serve as cultural secretaries. Shekhar Bidugu has been appointed treasurer.
Union members expressed confidence that the new executive body will work towards the development of the union and the welfare of its members.
