Hyderabad:The Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation (MMC) has introduced QR‑coded work boards at 11 ongoing projects across its jurisdiction, in a bid to promote accountability and transparency. When scanned, the boards display contractor details, project information including estimated cost and deadlines, thereby bringing governance closer to citizens.
Through this system, residents can monitor project progress and provide feedback to the authorities. Officials said the initiative will not only increase accountability among contractors and officials but also enhance public participation.
“Easy access to information, promoting public trust, ensuring better monitoring and improved quality of work are the other benefits,” an MMC official noted. Flex banners and boards at the sites carried the slogan ‘Your Tax Rupees at Work’ along with the name of the Circle and Corporation.
